As well, my boys, when they were little guys, enjoyed the birds at the back...peacocks, ostriches, etc. We were greatly saddened when they closed, but I still have fond memories and photos that I took when my husband and I shopped for plants, flowers, and vegetables. Lots of glass bottles. In the south east corner by holiday park I heard this is where used to bury all the dead animals. I also heard there was a Clydesdale horse buried in the north east corner. Around 2013-2014 I had an awesome fort on the property. It was named "The Cut".kobyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08834080139036541084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6147255226831235255.post-10350232100913932342016-12-18T09:29:51.426-08:002016-12-18T09:29:51.426-08:00The pencil-shaded area showed the location, not th...The pencil-shaded area showed the location, not the sticker.nailhedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07339834717269186348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6147255226831235255.post-66361936911588605102016-12-18T09:28:10.512-08:002016-12-18T09:28:10.512-08:00Yes it was on the east side of the road.Yes it was on the east side of the road.nailhedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07339834717269186348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6147255226831235255.post-64811108030452804722016-12-17T12:26:26.634-08:002016-12-17T12:26:26.634-08:00The map shows Clyde Smiths on the west side of New...The map shows Clyde Smiths on the west side of Newburgh. It was actually on the east side. I lived in the area as a kid but hardly went there. Even in the early 80s my mom thought they were overpriced. Randazzos on the corner of Warren and Newburgh also had a huge effect on Clyde Smiths. There were two nice ranch style homes just north of Smiths that expired around the same time. We did business with the Clyde Smith company. I remember driving over there in one of the big wholesale trucks to get some plants. I remember going there a lot when my grandfather worked there for a few years during the late 80s and early 90s after he retired from the long since demolished Clark Street plant. Years later, I also recall my great irritation upon finding driving on by one day and seeing that subdivision being built....Josh A.noreply@blogger.com
